There is the expression, “riding for the brand.” 

For Jared Sare, local vet and Sublette County resident, the brand was pure - helping others.

 

Money raised through the event goes to local 4-H scholarships for youth with an interest in agriculture and participating in their local community. These were foundational values for Jared and will be continued through the Jared Sare Memorial Ranch Rodeo. Donations are being accepted The Jared Sare Memorial Ranch Rodeo is a gathering, a time of laughter, friendship and fun; all with the purpose of helping others from the community. Half or more of all entry fees from the event will be donated to 4-H scholarships.

 

Each team can be made up of 4 to 6 members, including at least 2 women and 2 youth (under 18) members, or one of each, to encourage participation. Each of the 4 events has 4 riders in the arena; 1 woman or 1 youth must be in each event.

 

The team events Bedroll Stampede, Team Penning, Team Sorting, and Team Doctoring, are cooperative and inclusive of many skill levels. They are based on true ranching activities that Jared valued.
